After installing rpmdb-redhat, you need to do:

rpm --dbpath /usr/lib/rpmdb/i386-redhat-linux/redhat/ --rebuilddb

before it is useful for querying against.

Or, equivalently,  query using
	rpm --redhatprovides --dbapi 1
