Created attachment 2062426 [details] Update to 6.0.2 (#2331668)
the-new-hotness/release-monitoring.org's scratch build of libnfs-6.0.2-1.fc40.src.rpm for rawhide completed http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=126834723
So libnfs 6 got inadvertently tagged into Rawhide for a few hours via the mass rebuild. In the end we untagged it again, but along the way I did some research on where we stand with the deps here. There are four I could find - qemu, gvfs, vlc and xine-lib. xine-lib appears to already have a patch by Xavier - https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/xine-lib/blob/rawhide/f/xine-lib-1.2.13-fix_libnfs6.patch . I've filed bugs for the other three and set them to block this. There are upstream fixes for gvfs and vlc that just need to be downstreamed (I've sent a patch for vlc, for gvfs I think we should probably just go to upstream 1.57.1 which should be fixed). qemu doesn't have a fix upstream yet, I've linked to some upstream discussions about this issue.
Thanks for filling the bugs Adam. There's a side tag available for the rebuilds: fedpkg build --target=f42-build-side-102002
Xavier, that tag looks like it's been garbage collected. Can you set up a new one and build libnfs on it? qemu is ready to build against it now, so I think all the deps are ready.
I've tagged the libnfs build into f42-build-side-104263. The side tag is ready to use. qemu and vlc should be able to build in the above side tag. gvfs is still at 1.56.1 and the upstream MR/patch has not been applied yet, so I don't think it can build yet. xine-lib fails to build, which is likely due to gcc 15, I've contacted upstream about this.
oh, yeah, should sync with desktop team about gvfs. I do have a backport to 1.56.1 if necessary, just figured it'd make more sense to get a bump to 1.57.1. I'll let qemu know about the updated side tag.
The side tags are : - f42-build-side-104263 - f43-build-side-105744
