Description of problem: A regression from Fedora Core 6 seems to have occurroed with DRI using Fedora 7 on my via motherboard (which uses unicrhome_dri.so). A DRI window is clipped wrongly, resulting in an incomplete user interface. This bug is stopping me from moving to Fedora 7. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): mesa-libGL-6.5.2-13.fc7 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run GoogleEarth Actual results: The viewing window is clipped on the right and bottom, which make the control in the top right corner unusable, as well as occluding map data. Expected results: The viewing window should not be clipped. Additional info: I suspect this may have been caused by the patch for https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=247254 Note that above patch is needed so the DRI window is placed correctly on the screen - its just that the contents of the DRI window are incorrectly clipped. I will attach some screenshots. Note that the clipping problem becomes worse if I increase the width of the left hand navigation pane.

Can you attach the output of 'glxinfo -l' ? I wonder if your maximum texture size didn't go weird.

Not quite sure how the number of textures could cause this kind of hard clipping, but I have included glxinfo -l output and Xorg logfile from both F& and FC8.

Well, that edit I just did of the glxinfo output for FC6 didn't do quite what I wanted! Please note the glxinfo -l output for FC6 is now attached as comment 10. Sorry for the mess...
Can I provide any additional info for you, ajax? It has been close to two weeks now, and I am keen to be able to move to Fedora 7.
After 2 and a half weeks, I am changing the severity of this issue to high to illicit some kind of response from the GL maintainers. Please note that this issue is preventing me from switching to Fedora 7 (I need DRI to be fully functional on my box).
I have just realised that I had inadvertently set the severity to low instead of high (doh!). I have now set it to high (this bug is still blocking my move to Fedora 7)
*** Bug 421271 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
This message is a reminder that Fedora 7 is nearing the end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 7. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '7'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 7's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 7 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this bug. If you are unable to change the version, please add a comment here and someone will do it for you. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. If possible, it is recommended that you try the newest available Fedora distribution to see if your bug still exists. Please read the Release Notes for the newest Fedora distribution to make sure it will meet your needs: http://docs.fedoraproject.org/release-notes/ The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping
Fedora 7 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on June 13, 2008. Fedora 7 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
