Description Lubomir Kundrak 2008-03-06 05:34:54 EST
Unresponsive maintainer procedure;
Two formal attempts to contain a maintainer via bugzilla:

Maintainer contact attempt was done also via e-mail to pjones@redhat.com;
Message attached. Got no response.

Another contact attempt was made via IRC, maintainer did not respond though he
was not idle.

Furthermore, the original bug was open for 9 months now, without any response.

I conclude he has either no time or interest in reviewing and applying fixes
without community contribution. So, the last chance to get fixes in:

Package Change Request
Package Name: mkinitrd
Changed Branches: devel
Updated Cvsextras Commits: yes

I think it makes sense to enable the cvsextras commits for devel only, to
preserve the original purpose of having it disabled, whatever reason did it have.

Comment 2 Peter Jones 2008-03-06 15:12:48 EST
Original bug updated with more info. We don't really want to open up mkinitrd
for wider commits at this time, as the package shouldn't generally have any
changes directly applied.
