Description of problem: I'm in my newly installed fedora 9 i386 virtual machine console window, logged into gnome session as root. A popup tells me there are updates available and offers to install them. I say, OK, install them, then I get an error popup that has the highly informative message: org.freedesktop.packagekit.update-system auth_admin_keep_always and it refuses to to the update. Fortunately getting in a terminal and running "yum update" appears to work OK. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): yum-packagekit-0.1.12-10.20080505.fc9.i386 gnome-packagekit-0.1.12-12.20080430.fc9.i386 PackageKit-libs-0.1.12-10.20080505.fc9.i386 PackageKit-0.1.12-10.20080505.fc9.i386 How reproducible: I tried clicking OK a few more times with the same result each time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. see above Actual results: no updates installed, error popup instead. Expected results: updates installed Additional info:
Having now spent some time as a normal user, I can note that this only happens when logged in as root. As a normal user, it prompts me for the root password, then proceeds to do the updates.
