Package: gnome-applet-globalmenu-0.7.8-1.fc13 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) How to reproduce ----- The crash happens quite randomly. There is no particular event which crashes this application. The crash has happened, while opening "home directory", "mounted device", even after a "logout-login". Comment ----- This time the crash happened when I was trying to open a mounted device. After clicking on the "mounted device icon" on the desktop, the application crashed. After adding this application to the "gnome-panel", and clicking on the same mounted device, it opened up properly, without any crash. It is quite random, as there is no particular event linked for causing this application to crash. Yet the stability of this application have to be improved.
Package: gnome-applet-globalmenu-0.7.8-1.fc13 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) How to reproduce ----- 1. Tried to disable COMPIZ, which did not happen, and all the windows disappeared, leaving just the background wallpaper. So nothing could be done. 2. Went to CLI, by pressing "CTRL+ALT+F2". 3. Checked if the "COMPIZ" and "EMERALD" processes were running. 4. Thought of coming out of "GUI" and get back Hence executed "init 3". 5. After executing "init 3", the CLI also got stuck and did not respond for any key-strokes. 6. Was left with only option of "HARD REBOOT". 7. After "HARD REBOOT" the system came up properly and came upto GUI login prompt. 8. After logging in, the "GNOME-GLOBALMENU" application crashed, when i launched the "TERMINAL". Comment ----- Would like to have this app working well, without any issues. This is a good app in "gnome-environment". Also would like to have this app working for "open office", "firefox", and if possible for KDE applications too.
