RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Red Hat Product Errata RHBA-2013:0527 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE qemu-kvm bug fix and enhancement update 2013-02-20 21:51:08 UTC

Description Luiz Capitulino 2012-02-06 15:46:44 UTC
We want to have qemu-ga support for Windows in 6.3. Michael Roth from IBM is working on it and has posted patches to qemu-devel:

http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/qemu-devel/2012-02/msg00235.html

Let's backport it.

Comment 13 Qunfang Zhang 2012-03-30 10:54:03 UTC
Hi, there
As windows guest agent will not be included in rhel6.3, so any suggestions to handle this bug? Propose to 6.4 or something else?

Thanks!
Qunfang

Comment 14 Qunfang Zhang 2012-04-16 06:43:41 UTC
As windows guest agent is not included in 6.3, so I would like to move this to 6.4. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks,
Qunfang

Comment 15 Qunfang Zhang 2012-04-16 07:05:45 UTC
Change back to Assigned status as there's no windows guest agent executable
generated though the code exists. Changing back to assigned status does not
mean this bug is failed during verification. Doing this to make sure we could
track this bug better in next release. And we will ask errata owner to help
remove the bug from qemu-kvm errata.

Comment 19 Ademar Reis 2012-07-25 14:15:58 UTC
Please test bug 767395 when the backport is done. We believe the problem reported there might be fixed with the introduction of the guest agent.
