* Disks -> Add -> External (Direct Lun) -> create disk from a Used LUN * No warning pop-up is presented when overwriting a used LUN with new data. * A pop-up should be added, similar to overwriting a used LUN when creating a storage domain.
In addition it should only be allowed as read-only.
Is this still relevant?
This is the current situation: Luns used as other disks are disabled. If one tried to select the disableled Lun, a popup appears with an appropriate message, which is fine, but the following scenario is buggy: 1. Make sure there's another used Lun, this time used for YOUR storage domain. This Lun is enabled for choosing. 2. Choose the above Lun, do not proceed. 3. A red warning message appears above the view. 4. Try again to choose the disabled Lun. 5. The correct error message appears, this time not in a popup, but as a red warning as in stage 3. Step 5 is problematic. Error message should still appear as a popup.

devel-ack+ for fixing the message so it doesn't get scrambled around when you choose different LUNs.
deferred to 3.3, misunderstanding.
Daniel, is this still relevant?
(In reply to Ayal Baron from comment #11) > Daniel, is this still relevant? According to the design, a confirmation dialog for overwriting a used LUN is displayed only when created a new domain. For direct lun disks, a warning is shown instead of the confirmation dialog (as the operation's use-case is not destructive).
