Description Henrique Martins 2013-10-07 15:35:18 UTC
Description of problem:
This seems to be a recurrent problem with every other tigervnc build:-) Tigervnc module doesn't load with an undefined symbol key_is_down.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
tigervnc-1.3.0-7.fc19

How reproducible:
Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. configure vnc module
2. restart X or reboot

Actual results:
tigervnc-module doesn't load. Error message in X.org.0.log is:
Failed to load /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions/libvnc.so: /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions/libvnc.so: undefined symbol: key_is_down

Expected results:
working vnc module

Additional info:
Also, it seems that some scriplet on the install likes to move my 10-libvnc.conf to 10-libvnc.conf.rpmsave and disable the loading of the module. I can file that in another bug report or maybe it could be looked at while fixing this one.

The fix for this issue caused another issue that also affected the Xvnc server.

Changing component. Upstream opinion is that this symbol ought to be exported.

Hi, any chance that xorg will export the symbol?

I don't suppose for a minute that I'm the only person that discovered this on the one day that they urgently needed it!
