One traceback says "No RAIDs discovered" and another python traceback says osimg was not found. Attempting a UEFI native install. Other bootable drives exist on the system (they use MBR, will remove them). cmdline: /usr/bin/python3 /sbin/anaconda --liveinst --method=livecd:///dev/mapper/live-base cmdline_file: BOOT_IMAGE=/isolinux/vmlinuz0 root=live:LABEL=Fedora-Live-WS-x86_64-23-10 ro rd.live.image quiet rhgb rd.live.check hashmarkername: anaconda kernel: 4.2.3-300.fc23.x86_64 other involved packages: python3-libs-3.4.3-5.fc23.x86_64, python3-blivet-1.12.8-1.fc23.noarch, libblockdev-1.1-2.fc23.x86_64 package: anaconda-core-23.19.10-1.fc23.x86_64 packaging.log: product: Fedora reason: gi.overrides.BlockDev.DMError: No RAIDs discovered release: Fedora release 23 (Twenty Three) version: 23 Turns out the issue I had experienced was due to one of my hard disks reporting an error when running "dmraid" on it. Running "dmraid -r" on the device returned an error similar to: ERROR: pdc: identifying /dev/sdc, magic_0: some hex value, magic_1: some other hex value followed by something like "No RAIDs defined". The same device, it turned out, also had bad sectors. Removing the disk made the install work fine. Also, there wasn't actually any RAID configured on my system anyway. Hope that helps. Another user experienced a similar problem: When I try to install Fedora on my Hard Drive, I have this issue. It appears when I have to choose the installation language... I can only quit or report the bug. cmdline: /usr/bin/python3 /sbin/anaconda --liveinst --method=livecd:///dev/mapper/live-base cmdline_file: BOOT_IMAGE=/isolinux/vmlinuz0 root=live:LABEL=Fedora-Live-WS-x86_64-23-10 ro rd.live.image quiet rhgb rd.live.check hashmarkername: anaconda kernel: 4.2.3-300.fc23.x86_64 other involved packages: python3-blivet-1.12.8-1.fc23.noarch, libblockdev-1.1-2.fc23.x86_64, python3-libs-3.4.3-5.fc23.x86_64 package: anaconda-core-23.19.10-1.fc23.x86_64 packaging.log: product: Fedora reason: gi.overrides.BlockDev.DMError: Failed to group_set release: Fedora release 23 (Twenty Three) version: 23 Thank you Hashim. Thanks to the comand "dmraid -r" I could find out which disk was in RAID mode, even if there is any RAID configured on my computer... So I removed the disk and installed successfully fedora! Another user experienced a similar problem: 1. boot from Fedora-Live-Workstation-x86_64-23-10.iso with Zalman ZM-VE300 connected to USB. 2. then run Install to Hard Drive 3. Get an Error. :-) good work! cmdline: /usr/bin/python3 /sbin/anaconda --liveinst --method=livecd:///dev/mapper/live-base cmdline_file: BOOT_IMAGE=vmlinuz0 initrd=initrd0.img root=live:CDLABEL=Fedora-Live-WS-x86_64-23-10 rootfstype=auto ro rd.live.image quiet rhgb rd.luks=0 rd.md=0 rd.dm=0 hashmarkername: anaconda kernel: 4.2.3-300.fc23.x86_64 other involved packages: python3-blivet-1.12.8-1.fc23.noarch, python3-libs-3.4.3-5.fc23.x86_64, libblockdev-1.1-2.fc23.x86_64 package: anaconda-core-23.19.10-1.fc23.x86_64 packaging.log: product: Fedora reason: gi.overrides.BlockDev.DMError: Failed to group_set release: Fedora release 23 (Twenty Three) version: 23 Another user experienced a similar problem: Used UNIX dd command to put iso to CD or USB media. No errors showed up when completed. I attempted Fedora Server 23 NetInstall/Fedora Server 24 beta NetInstall/Fedora Server 23 Xfce spin (example). All of these are 64bit. No issues with testing media after put iso on them. No unusual messages on boot up screen. When in netinstall, white screen shows and then window with bug report shows up. Xfce spin loads desktop properly but when going to "Install to Hard Disk, same window as above shows up. cmdline: /usr/bin/python3 /sbin/anaconda --liveinst --method=livecd:///dev/mapper/live-base cmdline_file: BOOT_IMAGE=vmlinuz0 initrd=initrd0.img root=live:CDLABEL=Fedora-Live-Xfce-x86_64-23-10 rootfstype=auto ro rd.live.image quiet rhgb rd.luks=0 rd.md=0 rd.dm=0 hashmarkername: anaconda kernel: 4.2.3-300.fc23.x86_64 other involved packages: python3-libs-3.4.3-5.fc23.x86_64, libblockdev-1.1-2.fc23.x86_64, python3-blivet-1.12.8-1.fc23.noarch package: anaconda-core-23.19.10-1.fc23.x86_64 packaging.log: product: Fedora reason: gi.overrides.BlockDev.DMError: Failed to group_set release: Fedora release 23 (Twenty Three) version: 23 Thanks for the posting above to start to look at the RAID. "dmraid -r" identified that there was leftover RAID metadata that I didn't know was there. This was coming from a computer moving from OpenSUSE to Fedora to use for testing/development purposes. Somehow, this wasn't caught when I tried CentOS 7 as I got no errors when installed but unfortunately it did not detect my NICs. "dmraid -r -E /dev/sda" was successful which cleared this out. I ran the "Install to Hard Disk" under the spin and it was successful. The netinstall isos will probably work as well..
