scsconfig.log for F7 (updates applied) on T61
There is no support at all for the ad1984 codec in 2.6.22. So this fix will have to wait for a 2.6.23 kernel for F7. (In reply to comment)

I updated to ALSA 1.0.15rc1 and now such change to modprobe.conf was required.
All sounds works fine now. I have a T61p.
*** Bug 274021 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 265901 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Hello, I'm reviewing this bug as part of the kernel bug triage project, an attempt to isolate current bugs in the fedora kernel. http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/KernelBugTriage I am CC'ing myself to this bug and will try and assist you in resolving it if I can. There hasn't been much activity on this bug for a while. As Chuck has indicated this issue may be resolved in 2.6.23, could you possibly test with the latest kernel from rawhide and see if this is the case? If the problem no longer exists then please close this bug or I'll do so in a few days if there is no additional information lodged following the release of 2.6.23 thanks! i will wait for 2.6.23 then. we are now in 2.6.22-9 I can confirm that the Fedora 8 Test 2 kernels (2.6.23) resolve this problem. Thanks for confirming Matthew. I'll close with comments to that effect. Please re-open if the update to 2.6.23 does not resolve the issue in F7. Cheers Chris |
