Thanks for the bugreport, I've managed to reproduce and fix it, an updated libmikmod package fixing this is on its way. Note the actual crash is happening in libmikmod -> changing component. libmikmod-3.2.0-17.fc17 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 17. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/libmikmod-3.2.0-17.fc17 Package libmikmod-3.2.0-17.fc17: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 17 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing libmikmod-3.2.0-17.fc17' as soon as you are able to. Please go to the following url: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2012-11510/libmikmod-3.2.0-17.fc17 then log in and leave karma (feedback). *** Bug 845792 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** (In reply to comment #6) > Package libmikmod-3.2.0-17.fc17: > * should fix your issue, > * was pushed to the Fedora 17 testing repository, > * should be available at your local mirror within two days. > Update it with: > # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing libmikmod-3.2.0-17.fc17' > as soon as you are able to. > Please go to the following url: > https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2012-11510/libmikmod-3.2.0-17. > fc17 > then log in and leave karma (feedback). I tried this fix and the game still crashed. This time the game loaded before crashing, where as before it would crash before loading. (In reply to comment #8) > I tried this fix and the game still crashed. This time the game loaded > before crashing, where as before it would crash before loading. I assume that with this game you mean tuxracer? I've just tried extreme tuxracer myself and it seems to trigger a bug in mesa (our opengl implementation). Can you please try again and let abrt file a bug for the crash you are seeing? (In reply to comment #9) > (In reply to comment #8) > > I tried this fix and the game still crashed. I did submit a report yesterday when it crashed if I remember correctly. This morning I tried it and was able to play 3 games without any problems. Hopefully it is fixed. Yes the game was ExtremeTux Racer. *** Bug 846854 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 847489 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 845998 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Thanks guys I don't really play games but one or two and this is my favorite . su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing libmikmod-3.2.0-17.fc17' This fixed my problem .
