Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 289801
"GL Desktop" menu entry appearing twice
Last modified: 2007-12-21 08:05:17 EST
After installing gnome-compiz-manager with yum, there are two identical entries
"GL Desktop" in the menu bar (system -> preferences -> Look and feel).
rpm -qf /usr/share/applications/fedora-gnome-compiz-preferences.desktop
rpm -qf /usr/share/applications/gnome-compiz-preferences.desktop
Patch not tested:
*** gnome-compiz-manager.spec 17 Oct 2007 08:25:38 +0200 1.2
--- gnome-compiz-manager.spec 26 Oct 2007 00:50:25 +0200
*** 64,69 ****
--- 64,70 ----
make install DESTDIR=$RPM_BUILD_ROOT
desktop-file-install --vendor="fedora" \
+ --delete-original \
Futhermore, those two entries are shown in the KDE menu. I do not know why.
AWOL maintainer ? please fix, this is a simple bug.

I'll just go ahead and commit a fix.
gnome-compiz-manager-0.10.4-3.fc8 has been pushed to the Fedora 8 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
If you want to test the update, you can install it with
su -c 'yum --enablerepo=updates-testing update gnome-compiz-manager'
Denis, what about Rawhide? Could you then close the bug as CLOSED/RAWHIDE? Or do
I have to do it?
