Description Bill Burns 2007-10-04 17:57:17 UTC
Description of problem: The rev 3.1.1 Xen Hypervisor contains numerous bug fixes
that will be needed in RHEL 5.2. An evaluation of these determined that rebasing
to 3.1.1 was the best way to incorporate these fixes.

The 3.1.1 HV was broken and 3.1.2 will be the target for the rebase.

QE nack to bringing in these changes during beta. There's too much change
involved to bring in after feature-complete date. Would be a tremendous
validation burden on QE.

This feature went in early December after being soaked by Martin for awhile. I
think there was some miscommunication here. Yes, I didn't move this bz to
MODIFIED for whatever reason, but it was one of the first features included in 5.2.

Comment 8 Jay Turner 2008-01-25 12:26:43 UTC
That makes me feel lots and lots better.

Hi,
the RHEL5.2 release notes will be dropped to translation on April 15, 2008, at
which point no further additions or revisions will be entertained.

a mockup of the RHEL5.2 release notes can be viewed at the following link:
http://intranet.corp.redhat.com/ic/intranet/RHEL5u2relnotesmockup.html

please use the aforementioned link to verify if your bugzilla is already in the
release notes (if it needs to be). each item in the release notes contains a
link to its original bug; as such, you can search through the release notes by
bug number.

Cheers,
Don
