Comment 2 Kevin Fenzi 2011-03-25 20:50:54 UTC
Interesting. This might be in garcon... it looks like it was reading icons when it happened.

I'll try and see what can be made of this. Thanks for the backtrace...

Can you duplicate it? Or it just happened the one time?

Comment 3 Richard W.M. Jones 2011-03-25 22:20:36 UTC
Definitely it's not happening now.

F15's i915 driver is very hairy. When this bug hit was just after
I'd tried and failed to watch a video using VLC, and the i915 driver
was showing issues. About an hour later I had to reboot the whole
laptop.

I really have no idea if the X driver stuff is related to this bug.

Comment 4 Kevin Fenzi 2011-03-26 17:31:12 UTC
It could well be. :(

I've also seen weird behavior with the intel driver of late...

I can try and see what upstream makes of this, but the backtrace is pretty weird. garcon was trying to build a menu, reading an svg icon and then boom.
