Description of problem:
The latest 2.6.3-1.110 (from Rawhide) doesn't boot on a IBM thinkpad
T30 (all the previous releases worked). Passing the option acpi=off
makes the system boot again.

ah, this has been known about for a while.
there's an ugly fix for it in tonights kernel, but this needs fixing
properly at some point.

(triage folks: I think there's an open bugzilla on this already.)
