Sorry for the long delay. Can you please reproduce using icc-profiles-openicc package from newer fedora. (currently in updates-testing) I plan to update cinepaint on f17 ASAP. Eventually, I will support a special repo for F-15 and later. Thx for your report.
Installing icc-profiles-openicc-1.3.0-1.fc16.noarch has no effect, cinepaint crashes the same way as before.
