Description Arjan van de Ven 2003-10-15 07:18:44 UTC
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 for Itanium-based systems includes
preliminary capabilities for running IA32 (x86) native applications and
includes core IA32 compatibility libraries for this purpose. While
simple x86 applications may work correctly, the compatibility libraries
are insufficient to support complex and multi-threaded applications.
Technical support is not provided for problems encountered running IA32
applications on Itanium. Red Hat may provide improved support for
running IA32 applications on Itanium-based systems in future updates to
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3.
