Description
Upstream Release Monitoring
2019-01-30 23:11:59 UTC
Latest upstream release: 4.3.0 Current version/release in rawhide: 3.9.3-2.fc30 URL: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pytest Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a stable branch: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Updates_Policy More information about the service that created this bug can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made. Specifically, please remember that it is your responsibility to review the new version to ensure that the licensing is still correct and that no non-free or legally problematic items have been added upstream. Based on the information from anitya: https://release-monitoring.org/project/3765/ I'm looking into the update to see if it fixes the failures described in bz1687384. The does don't build with Sphinx 2.0.0b1: https://github.com/sphinx-doc/sphinx/issues/6174 https://github.com/pytest-dev/pytest/issues/4912 s/does/docs/ Latest upstream release: 4.3.1 Current version/release in rawhide: 3.9.3-2.fc30 URL: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pytest Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a stable branch: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Updates_Policy More information about the service that created this bug can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made. Specifically, please remember that it is your responsibility to review the new version to ensure that the licensing is still correct and that no non-free or legally problematic items have been added upstream. Based on the information from anitya: https://release-monitoring.org/project/3765/ https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/pytest/pull-request/8 was updated to 4.3.1 Thomas, let's do this? There might be breakage and I rather have the breakage now instead of having 3.8 update blocked on it. I will figure out eh important breakage, as I bootstrap 3.8, but I don't want to find out 800 packages FTBFS once we have the side tag. Latest upstream release: 4.4.0 Current version/release in rawhide: 3.9.3-2.fc30 URL: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pytest Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a stable branch: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Updates_Policy More information about the service that created this bug can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made. Based on the information from anitya: https://release-monitoring.org/project/3765/ I rather start with 4.3.x. Thomas? Thomas or Matthias, what are your thoughts here? Is anything blocking an update to pytest-4.3.x in Rawhide? Personally, I'd say: let's go with it, but maybe Thomas has a different opinion? Thread on python-devel mailing list: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/python-devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/4HLQHSPIZG3XKXEE66T7HKN5WOPQQVG4/ Thomas built pytest-4.3.1-1.fc31. I will provide 4.4 pull request later today or tomorrow. 4.4 needs pluggy 0.9. |
