This is a tracker bug which should link all the issues blocking system wide change for having Anaconda's new web UI in Fedora 39 Workstation. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/AnacondaWebUIforFedoraWorkstation Reproducible: Always
Current state: changes to gnome-initial-setup, livesys-scripts and fedora-kickstarts have now (in the last few hours) landed. anaconda update is in Bodhi but is failing gating because, of course, openQA tests do not pass with the changes. I'm working on that today. Setting MODIFIED for now.
OK, as of an hour ago or so we have landed everything in F39. The next compose should produce a Workstation live with the webUI installer. We landed it all for Rawhide yesterday and it worked OK in today's Rawhide compose. Setting ON_QA.
Removing bug 2173474, seems that this behavior is default on Live system for a long time already. This is not new for web UI.
FESCo's decision to invoke the contingency plan in https://pagure.io/fesco/issue/3066#comment-873774 necessarily implies that this is deferred to F40.
Change was postponed so let's use this tracker for Fedora 40 now (renamed).
Deferred to Fedora 41 by FESCo decision: https://meetbot-raw.fedoraproject.org/teams/fesco/fesco.2024-02-19-19.35.html , "AGREED: Changes/AnacondaWebUIforFedoraWorkstation is postponed to F41."
This is now targeting 42.
